hi, welcome back to the spiffy flinger variety show! i'm your host, spiffy flinger! on tonight's episode, we'll be asking all our guests the big question: is there a ukulele hero in you?

alright so, what's the deal with this album, you may be thinking? well, i'll tell ya. for christmas, i got a ukulele. a nice one with mahogany wood. it's not the one featured on the album cover! that's a public domain image.

i've had it for two days now, and i can play some rudimentary stuff on it. i tuned it manually to an open D, so i pretty much bar every chord. that's why i don't play a single minor chord on this album.

these were the very first recordings i made with my brand new uke. for no particular reason, i decided to compile them onto an album and to upload them on here!

among these recordings, you have renditions of three original probehead songs, including an old outtake ("i don't wanna stick around with you") that contains my worst lyrics ever.

elsewhere on the album, you'll find:

* me stammering my way through the everly brothers' "wake up little susie" without really knowing the chords
* a medley of ramones songs (with major lyrical slip-ups)
* an attempt at performing a happy version of the rolling stones' "paint it black" entitled "paint it pink" which is really weird and i don't know what i was thinking when i recorded it
